About Kalsubai
Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra (1,646 m / 5,400 ft), is a perfect blend of adventure and nature. Located in the Sahyadri range within the Kalsubai–Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary, this trek offers stunning panoramic views of Alang, Madangad, Kulang, Ratangad, Harishchandragad, and the surrounding ranges. The well-marked trail with ladders, chains, and railings makes the climb safe and enjoyable. Itinerary

Day One Saturday
Participants are requested to board the train below from the nearest local station. Train timings have been mentioned below for your convenience.

KASARA FAST - MULUND - DIVA

11:42 am - CSMT
11:49 am - Byculla
11:55 am - Dadar
12:02 pm - Kurla
12:06 pm - Ghatkopar
12:22 pm - Thane
12:38 pm - Dombivli
12:47 pm - Kalyan
01:58 pm - Kasara
02:00 pm - Meeting at Kasara Railway Ticket Counter.
02:15 pm - Leave for the base village (Bari) in shared vehicles.
04:00 pm - Reach Bari village. Start ascending.
(Note: If camping on the top is banned by the forest department, then camping will be at the middle plateau)

07:30 pm - Reach the campsite and check into your tents and rest.
09:00 pm - Dinner will be provided and instructions provided.
 

Day Two Sunday
05:30 am - Wake up and freshen up.
06:00 am - Start trek to Kalsubai Peak. Reach Kalsubai Peak and watch the sunrise.
08:00 am - Have to have breakfast.
08:30 am - Start descending towards the base village.
11:30 am - Reach the base and start a return journey towards Kasara Railway Station. (Lunch is not included in the package)
01:00 pm - Reach Kasara Railway Station and disperse.

Note:

  • The minimum age requirement for this activity is 8 years of age.
  • Children above 10 years of age will be counted as adults.
  • Individuals availing of the 'Without Transfer' package need to reach Bari Village by 5:00 PM.
  • The distance from Kasara Railway Station to Bari base village is 2.5 hours approximately.
Things to Carry
  • 2/3 liters of water
  • Good Torch must with extra batteries
  • Trekking Shoes provide more grip and comfort on the trek
  • Sleeping material. (Sleeping mat, Sleeping bag or 2 bedsheets)
  • Proper backpack (No side bag or jholas)
  • Some Dry fruits / Dry Snacks / Energy Bars / ready to eat food
  • Glucon D / ORS / Tang / Gatorade sachets
  • Sun Cap and Sunscreen
  • Personal First aid and Personal medicine
  • Extra Clothes, Napkin
  • Winter Jacket, Cap, Muffler
  • Identity Proof
