About Sandhan Valley Fireflies Camping
Samrad is base village for Ratangad and Sandhan Valley. From village you can see
Ratangad, Ajoba Fort, Kalsubai peak.
Fireflies Festival Information
Pre-monsoon is the perfect time for the fireflies mating and you can see the millions of
fireflies fluttering about in the dismal environment. They are called by different names
in English it is called Fireflies, In Marathi Kajawa and in Hindi it is called Jugnoo.
The flashes of fireflies on a warm summer night remind many of us of our carefree
childhood sense of wonder. With firefly season almost upon us, their enchanting light
displays will soon spark our curiosity and capture our imaginations.
There are about 2,000 firefly species and still much unknown information and riddles from
our professionals to be covered.

campsite

- 05:30 pm - Evening Tea & Refreshment with Small Introduction round
- 07:30 pm - Enjoy the campfire
- 09:00 pm - Dinner
- Leave for a small jungle walk to witness the fireflies
Day 2 Sunday
- 06:00 am - Wake up and freshen up
- 06:30 am - Have Breakfast & freshen up
- 07:00 am - Explore some part of Sandhan Valley view from start point of the valley (No full Trek)
- 09:00 am - Reach back the campsite & start return journey to Kasara
- 12:00 pm - Reach Kasara Station
